Get ready for this strikingly magical race of a lifetime, with spectacular panorama guiding you. On 1st July 2018 the gun will go off, signalling the start of yet another Econet Victoria Falls Marathon.
A full 42.2km marathon race, 21.2km half marathon run and a 7.5km fun run is available. The marathon race route starts in the car park outside the banks and post office, then crosses over the Victoria Falls Bridge, briefly into Zambia offering the social runner some of the most spectacular scenery in Africa, the route continues through the Zambezi National Park with some great views of the river, and ends at the Victoria Falls primary school. The Full Marathon is a ‘double loop’.
There are plenty of water points along the way to keep you refreshed, and you may even glimpse wildlife!
Registration dates and times:
Local entries will take place at the Kingdom Hotel on Friday 29 June from 10h00-17h00 and Saturday 30 June from 09h00-16h00. First come first serve, there are limited numbers so don’t delay, registration will close once we reach maximum capacity.
A note on Money:
If you are arriving from outside Zimbabwe, please note that there are currently limitations on the amount of cash that may be withdrawn from an ATM / bank in Zimbabwe, so we strongly recommend you bring some USD cash with you (small notes) for sundries, and you can make use of credit cards in various hotels and shops etc. We suggest you declare it on arrival at customs, so that should you be queried on departure – all the ‘admin’ is taken care of.
If you have any additional questions don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
See you all on raceday!
