Debbie has been part of the management team since inception. Co-ordinating our fantastic sponsors, making sure that everyone knows their part in the event, and as our own ‘wonder woman’ she also films the fun run, organises the film production crew, all the branding and stadium layout for the sponsors – she does it all, and more.
Paul, who has filmed numerous races for us – now manages the ‘edit’ of our video production, ensuring we have a great ‘vibey’ communication from the event.
Pierre van Zyl
Camera man, editor rolled into one. Pierre is a regular face at the likes of Two Oceans Ultra Marathon, Sani2C, JHB2C, TransCape and The Epic Mountain Bike Race. He first joined us at Vic Falls in 2017, and has embraced the race and the town fully. His creative approach to filming can be seen in the final edits.
Lourens Human
The pillar of our Vic Falls Marathon productions. Lourens has been with us since inception in 2006. His original career was as a Flight Steward aboard long haul airlines, and then he discovered his creative and talented side and took up camera work full time. Having travelled all over Africa on numerous shoots, he’s climbed Kili, rafted down the Zambezi, sat with Gorilla’s in Rwanda and fished in the Nile. He is also not afraid of having a few cold ‘bevvies’ after a long hard day in the sun, and you can be sure to be entertained by his repertoire of jokes. Lourens is normally our Lead Women’s cameraman on the Full Marathon. He tracks them round the entire route and then heads into the stadium to do the sponsors and winners interviews
MIAS STEENBERG AND DEBORAH HARRISON
Mias is an Editor, Producer and Technical guru with over 21 years’ experience in the industry. Nothing is too much of an effort for him, always with the biggest smile, the most enthusiasm and an abundance of energy!!
His greatest include his organised and efficient approach to executing projects, superior technical knowledge and problem-solving ability, his ability to anticipate obstacles and good values such as honesty and loyalty.
Obsessed with running, good coffee and a few beers, he can often be found exploring new and exciting camp sites and entertaining his very energetic sons and gorgeous wife.

Every year we are privileged to be joined by a number of local film makers, and bike riders, to help us with this mammoth task. We draw on this local ‘family’ each year, who gladly get up super early on race day to help us make our production. Thank you !
